Continental Divide Trail 2011 close to 3000 miles through new mexico, colorado, wyoming and montana. May 1 start date.

I plan on beginning my great Pacific Crest Trail Hike on April 7 and hope to finish before October 15. That's a little over 2 months from now! At the moment I am living in Yosemite and working for the forestry department, cutting hazard trees down. I have been spending my weekends snowshoeing, skiing and preparing for the PCT. The more I read the more convinced I am that this may be the best adventure I've had yet. New Zealand was pretty great, but the Pacific Crest Trail will be the true test of my abilities, or lack thereof. I have also decided to make the PCT a "Walk for Africa" to raise funds for the street boys I met in Kampala, Uganda. I am working with Jessie Hughes on developing a website for this venture. A little over two months before the start of the hike!
