Continental Divide Trail 2011 close to 3000 miles through new mexico, colorado, wyoming and montana. May 1 start date.

hello readers. I am now in San Diego, California, the good ole US of A. I traveled over 35 hours to get here and May 22 ended up being 43 hours Literally the longest day of my life. I traveled from Christchurch to Auckland to Fiji to LAX and then down to San Diego. Its great to be with family! We have one week together before I head off to Yellowstone for another summer YCC. Being in the US has been subtly overwhelming. I had never quite noticed how SPRAWLING southern california is. And diverse. So many people! I miss the small-town feel of the small South Island where I run into people I know wherever I am. I had a few more adventures since my last blog so I will update you soon, but I am home safe.
