Synagogue, Lennon Wall and Pub Crawl

CZECH REPUBLIC | Thursday, 30 July 2015 | Views [422]

Yesterday was technically my last day in Prague.  Although I am staying in Prague again tonight, I am taking a trip today to the town of Kutna Hora, which has a chapel made of bones and other interesting stuff. Some folks I was talking to at the hostel last night did it and recommended it, so I figured I would check it out.

Yesterday after waking up, once again I just had sort of loose plans. I went back to that camera store to look around, but didn't buy anything else.  I then went to the Spanish Synagogue. It was a Jewish Synagogue which was built by Jews, and is a testament to the Jews of Spain=that is what I found. The truth is it is hard to find out how it was built as a Spanish Synagogue. But it does have features reminiscent of Grenada, and other Moorish places, and was quite beautiful.

Afterwards I walked across the river, once again, and hopped on the tram. I went to the John Lennon wall, which was a testament to John Lennon.

Finally, I went back to the hostel, and took a nap. I decided to sign up for a pub crawl. Why? Prague is known for it's bar/club culture, and I decided to check it out. I wasn't really in to it, though. I went to four pubs, the first offering all you can drink beer, wine and shots for an hour. I had two of these really powerful shots of absinthe, which contain 70% alcohol, and two glasses of wine. Somehow, I didn't get as much as a buzz.

The other three pubs all played loud dance music, and I  hung out and danced a little with a group of people, but left before the final club. I wasn't feeling it-and it was already close to midnight and the Metro stops running right around midnight. As a matter of fact, after I got off the train at the stop near the hostel, they we're locking  the station up and announcing there we're no more trains for the day.
