Under the Bruggen Clouds

Yesterday, I spent the day in the company of two different women.

First of all, the weather was...blaah. It was in the 50's, (it felt like), cloudly, with a few rays of sun. Although traveling is great, I will gladly take the weather at home.

The first was one of the woman I met yesterday on the walking tour(the Argentian woman). She was staying at my hostel, and we met for breakfast. She mentioned that she was going to mass. It was 9:30 am on a Sunday morning, and I didn't know what to do, so I invited myself to go with her. We walked up to the church, and I sat with her. I watched a nun ring the church bell and listened to the organ music. I didn't know nuns rang the church bells so I learned something new.  After about 5 minutes, I decided (1) I am not Catholic, so I don't belong there (2) I don't know if she wanted me there (3) I didn't want me there, so I left and wandered around.

After that, I wandered around and went to the  belfry of the old Cathedral, the tallest structure in town, and ran into the other woman I met yesterday(the Italian woman). We hung out and spent the day together (no x-rated thoughts, we are both in relationships and merely hung out). We walked around, took a boat ride together in the canals, had some waffles, (a Belgian specialty),  beers, and shared a plate of fries (a Belgian specialty, although to me they taste like fries from anywhere else). We also went to a chruch that supposidly had samples of the 2000 year old blood of Christ,  then  shared a pack of chocolate covered oranges (chocolate is a Belgian specalty as well, but to me they tasted like chocolate from anywhere else, but these we're good!).  We then went back to our respective hostels to rest, and met later for dinner.

For dinner, we went to a resturant, dranks more beer, (and some wine), and once again went back to our respective hostles.
