Carry on coastal

USA | Tuesday, 7 July 2009 | Views [162]

So day two of our coastal crawler adventure saw us visiting a colony of Elephant seals  - my those boys and girls are big and rough looking too with all those scars!

Next the clever people who had booked in advance went for a tour of Hearst Castle, unfortunately when I booked this trip with GT no one told me about that so I just had to amuse myself with lying on a beach and reading my book - goodness this is a hard life.

In the afternoon we had a long drive so a stop at a supermarket for yet more snack food was in order - crisps, sweets, chocolate - you get the picture.

We finally made it to our campsite at Point Mugu in the very north of Los Angeles and settled in for another cool night surrounded by hundreds of mosquitos - if anything they are even more annoying here than they were in Africa!!!!
