Toronto will the sun ever shine

Yet more rain today, in fact torrential rain but being the single minded fool that I am I still decided to go out and do loads of walking.  Went to Casa Loma which was half an hours walk away and is a pseudo castle which was built by some financier in the 1920's who promptly went bankrupt so had to leave it.

Then I walked and walked and walked until I was really rather wet (soaking jeans) until I found this tropical glass house in the Allen Gardens so went in there for some shelter and there were 3 different bridal parties using it as a venue for their wedding photos!  There was a large white canadian girl who had about 6 bridesmaids all in black and she was really bossing them all around for the photos, i don't think her photographer was in charge at all, then an oriental lady who was in a beautiful layered chiffon dress, really scerene and lovely.  Final one was a Ghanian wedding group with a very pregnant bride who had a dress with lots of sequins and beads on it!!!!

Back out into the rain so I got wet all through again and had to resort to sheltering in the shopping centre so I bought some books for my train journey. One more museum before I went back to the hostel and it was textiles with this really moving exhibition of Afghanistan war rugs - lovely but sad.

Got back to the hostel just before the most massive rain storm.  The rain was so heavy you couldn't see across the street! And our dorm window was open so we had a bit of a flood on the florr - oops!
