Alexandra had stunning autumn colors. In fact, it's one of the few places in New Zealand with deciduous trees that provide such a colorful landscape.

We visited the Skywire at Cable Bay Adventure Park (https://www.cablebayadventurepark.com). It was very different from zipline since we were strapped into a 4-person carriage with individual 5-point harness connections. We zipped down 800 meters in free ...

We took a couple of days to drive from Nelson to Kaikoura for whale watching and to check on the road rebuild after the 2016 earthquake. Here are two points of interest along our trip there.

We missed Huka Falls on our previous trips, so we made sure to stop by this time. However, the 'falls' were pedestrian -- we think the big draw for them is the jet boat trip through the narrow channel.
