Hanging Up My Travelling Shoes

INDIA | Tuesday, 24 April 2007 | Views [534] | Comments [1]

Hey folks - hope all is well with everybody!

I have been back in Mcleod Ganj for one week now and have settled right back into things. Got ourselves the best room in the world today - it is in the same guest house as we were staying in so we still have Monicas loopy family which is great! It is on the ground floor and has a great place to hang outside and a KITCHEN!! We can't wait to get cooking - just need to get ourselves a hob and we are away. About time we entertained our gang as they have been great since we got back - cooking us brekkie, thentuk and delicious salad on Jams rooftop.

Me and Annie have taken up a Tibetan massage course with Wangcho (breakdancing ex-monk). Have learnt back and arms so far. Will be skiving off this evening to hang in our new room - we want to decorate it with posters, pictures, wall hangings the works! Wangcho is a great teacher and I do feel I have alot to learn and must get over my freaky phobia of touchjing veins if I am to become any good at it!

Also teaching English to Jams friend this afternoon and also helping him to imrpove his grammar. ME??? I didn't even know what the word meant until  yesterday! Mr John Farthing sir if you have any hints or tips on teaching English - basic to intermadiate I would be most obliged!!!

Start volunteering at local children centre in mornings day after tomorrow. Can't wait! Just playing and being a big kid myself with Tibetan children under 3. They are looked after whilst their parents are out at work - a very good cause.

Love to everybody. Feel my journal entries will be a bit rubbish from now on as I am just living a day to day life here which is just how I like no love it! xxxxxxxxxx

Good evening,Miss White
Re English. You started well with basic, but once you reached intermediate that little "a" crept in instead of an "e"!

A big thank you as we now have an integrated IT system which incorporates your now upgraded computer. Broadband too. I could not have coped with this, of course, but Pat's Dave did the deed.

Chip's big news:- he has bought an old style Mini. It's sitting on his Grandpa's drive in Swanage, so more complication - nothing new there.

Help. I'm cooking and everything is happening at once, so... xxxxxxxxxx
