It's at 30,000 feet that I look down and feel that we should have spent more time in the small mountain villages, as they will surely change more than anything else before we return to Asia. We just hope that the developers don't pave away all the richness of the myriad mountain peoples. Long live the village. Let us all be conscious of the way we travel and how it may change the lives of others.
