Sacred Valley

We start our Sacred Valley tour at 9am and spend the day going from site to site and various markets in between. It shows once again how pretty this country is and also how cold it can get. It's freezing by the time we get back to the hostel. But we brave the cold to go out for dinner and wind up eating at an Italian restaurant, more pizza.
I'm woken up in the middle of the night by what I can only describe as the most disgusting sound you can imagine coming out of a human body. The bathroom light is on and a horrible stench is slowly seeping through the cracks of the door. Rich finally comes out, looking drained and passes out in bed. I wake again in the morning to find him camped out in the bathroom and I realize what's happening... Peruvian food poisoning! We've heard a few stories about this exact thing inflicting other travelers, never thinking it would happen to one of us. I quickly run out to get Rich the medicines he needs and spend the rest of the day nursing him. It rains all day anyway, so we don't miss much.
