Alicia & Rich's Roads to Everywhere London to Australia on the route less traveled

Wild Coast - Port St Johns

This is boring....you don't have to read it...

It was suggested to us that on our drive down to Cape Town, one place we should stop in is Coffee Bay. As we like to wait until the last minute to do everything, we phone the one hostel in Coffee Bay on the day we'd like to stay there. Unfortunately for us, they're completely booked. So we have no choice but to go to Port St Johns, a small town, close to Coffee Bay.

We find a backpackers place to stay and the only room they have is a fixed tent, with a double bed. It looks ok, so we drop our bags and go on what was described as a "booze cruise". Turns out, its a slow crawl down a dirty river on a boat that sells beer. There are kids and old people on board. We've been on a booze crusie before and this is not it! It's the most boring boat we've ever been on and it lasts for 2 hours!!! We get back to the hostel and it starts raining. Alicia notices that some of the rooms aren't taken and successfully requests to move out of the tent and into a room. We check out of this awful place the next day.
Moving on....
