There and Back Again The continuing travels of me

shogakko graduation

The elementary school ceremony was this morning. It was more or less the same as the junior high school, but the kids are smaller and funnier, especially in the audience. They got tired and bored and fidgeted a lot.

My principal drove me to the school, which was unexpected and a nice gesture, but then he had to leave straight away and I didn't get to stay on and see the kids. So it was a bit disappointing.

I found out today that 6 teachers including my vice-principal will be transferring to different schools, so when I get back from holiday the staff room will look quite different. The English teacher is staying on at Kurohone. I don't know how many will be moving at the elementary school, it will be a surprise when I turn up there next term I guess.
