Patagonia Baby!

ARGENTINA | Monday, 21 October 2019 | Views [135]

I arrived in El Calafate yesterday and almost immediately went to explore the nature reserve that I thought Juan Paulo, the front desk clerk, said was fifteen minutes away.  I love a Latin accent but it does lead to misunderstandings sometimes.  Turns out it was more than 30. I was so tired but was there anyway so I walked the additional 2 km around the place. I saw some interesting birds, especially the flamingos.

That was nothing compared to today though. Today I checked off an item on my bucket list - Perito Moreno Glacier.  It was everything I had hoped it would be.  It was so awesome in the truest sense of the word that I didn't even mind the cold. I'm in trouble though because it is only the beginning of my trip and you can imagine how many photos I took.
