The journey was a long one: 35 hour from door (Marin county, Forest Knolls, CA) to door (Matz’s house in Chiang Mai, Thailand), changing planes twice with a lay over of 8 hours in Taipei – well worth it!! We left March 17th and arrived March 19th, considering 14 hours of time difference.
Our Matz, our true friend of 29 years was at the air port. After being on the go for that long, the thunder storm and lightning wasn’t much to worry about, really….the plane was tossed back and forth and up and down and lit up the way it is supposed to under the circumstances. It’s all good, it’s exciting to be “on the go” again, what can I say?
