Sunday
day 10th
We
got here in the middle of the day, climbing steep for the last 2km. Gita and I
found a reasonable priced lodge with a sweet, old, a bit forgetful lady (Ama),
who brought us two pieces of aple to welcome us (fruits are comparable with
pieces of gold up here…..). The rooms are cleaner than most and have a
beautiful view on the surrounding Mts and part of the town if there is no
fog/clouds. The town -to me -feels like NYC right now after roaming 10 days
through the wild Mts. Heaps of tourists are here, there is an internet
connection (expensive) and my phone is working too, with an Indian SIM.
I am
really looking forward to the resting day (suggested by the guide book, since
we are going to climb up to 18000 feet and need to acclimate). My plan is to go
shopping, get some poles for support of my knees (especially for the down hills…
and spend some time connecting…..)
