Meeting Gita and Larry in Jodhpur station

Good to see these two..............haven't seen a "Westerner" for a while. Can't help it!

Anyway this cute littel town was worth the long ride. Went straight to the market and got TONS of Saris - all used, but a $ each. Want to use them as material for curtains and pillow cases and such.

Very exciting to talk to the locals........

Just going down the street I seem to collect a bunch of kids just wanting to shake my hand saying hi - not all of them beg. Mothers sometimes come up to me, so I can say hi to their baby and then they give me this smile - so beautiful - all of them.

Now how can that be? So much filth and beauty all right next to each other?

..."filth and beauty all right next to each other?" sounds a little like me and you, right? The Pig and the Princess - oldest story in the book. Alan Watts would have said it's the nature of the world - duality. The one goeswith the other - you almost can't have the one without the other. Without the light, how could there be shadow? And so on. Now I've beat that horse into a pulp -

I love your blog! It's so really you. I miss you!

See you in Kathmandu!
