Anticipating the 10 day silence.
This place reminds me of the temple of the 10.000 Buddhas ( did you know that the same facilities for this Buddhist College near Ukiah was originally used for a mental hospital?) where I ride my yearly Buddhist Bicycle Pilgrimage.
One of the first people I met upon arrival, was a lunatic Russian, very masculine female from Moskau, who didn’t seem to be able to shut up ( ok, she just came out of the 10 day silence – but how did she do it?) – and “hit” just about on anybody.
Her shaved head, her slouchy walk and her careless wardrobe really started to make me wonder how in the world did I get myself into this situation?
Having said that, I also like to say that my curiosity is driving me forward and now I am still able to write before the course of silence starts in a few hours, I have enjoyed a good dinner, a good night sleep ( on a very hard , prison like bed) in my own little cell, a good breakfast and a beautiful garden.
