Our destination after the rest of the descend from the infamous Alto de la Linea was a nice place to stay and recoup. Armenia with the help of the Lonely Planet provided just that. A sweet little hostel away from the center. Very personable! We got there early in the day, eating, resting, listening to the rain pounding on the windows and the roof. Our bikes safe in the garage.
The next morning we saddled up - not too early, but right after breakfast and the bare thought of sitting on the bike in the rain, climbing some other mountain brought tears to my eyes before I even knew it. James looked at me and said: I think we need to stay another day, don't you?
I thought: If I give in, I might never want to cycle again - this feeling I have right now may never leave me.
But how silly of me! I learned in Playgroup I learned from "my kids" that exceptions underline the rules. Why think of tomorrow the next day the future? What counts is RIGHT NOW and it is for damn sure that I DO NOT WANT TO CYCLE RIGHT NOW. So what?
So, YES! I do need to stay put, rest, forget about cycling...
I felt unsure even walking at that moment.
Can't even tell you what we did - just nothing much of anything. Got some juice somewhere...and chilled. AAAAHHHHHHHH........
