Big Small Journey Off on the adventure of my lifetime: 5 glorious months of sun and snow in South America, then the UK for further fun and frolicking.

Heeeeeoooooo

BRAZIL | Thursday, 14 February 2008 | Views [534]

Thats how the locals pronounce Rio. Heeee-ooooo. Sounds a bit funny but I'm getting used to it.

Oh yesterday was terrible, I had travellers stomach, spend all evening and most of the night in the foetal position in bed, occassionally rushing to the bathroom to be sick.

Today went up the Pao da Açucar (Sugarloaf), this massive parabolic shaped rock at the entrance to Rio from the ocean. Gave a lovely view of the city. Could very distinctly see the layer of smog hanging over the lovely cityscape though. But could see clearly Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. Afterwards, lazed around in this small family beach gazing at the Sugarloaf, trying to figure why its so oddly shaped.
