Big Small Journey Off on the adventure of my lifetime: 5 glorious months of sun and snow in South America, then the UK for further fun and frolicking.

Trekking, swimming, snorkling, and more

Lencois has been awesome for those physical things you want to do in nature. Did 2 days of treking, today and yesterday, and my legs are SORE. Yesterday was a walking tour, did it with my new German friends, saw a few waterfalls, did lots of swimming (and walking and climbing). Today was awesome. Did a tour where they drove us out to a bigger waterfall, swam in brown water (some joked that its Coke). Then went to a massive cave where all sorts of strange formations had formed including something that looked VERY like a hat, lion and owl (see photos when i put them up). Then we went to look at this cave with extremely blue water. Unfortunately it was overcast, and the wrong season but apparently when the sun hits the water the whole cave glows blue and bright.

We went around to the other side of the cave and did some snorkling in there with flashlights. Creepy feeling in water in pitch darkness, listening to the soft sounds of water lapping aginst the rocks. Then I went on the flying fox. :)

Today I am a happy but tired girl. Got a overnight bus back to Salvador to look forward to, then 7 days and 6 nights of non-stop Carnaval frivolity (is that a word?).
