We have decided, after sampling at least 30 different boulangeries since we have been in France, to present our “Award of Excellence” to our local bakery. First, they ask you how you like your baguette cooked. Then, they choose one they thing you will like, and it is presented for approval and if you accept it, it is bagged and handed over to you with flourish!
The taste is excellent. It is very crusty and there is little extra dough in the interior. It usually does not make it back to the apartment whole and we are just across the street.
This baguette is so good that I find myself eating it without anything in it or on it!!!
