Fun and Games

FRANCE | Friday, 22 July 2016 | Views [210]

On the promenade, next to the beach, there are games set up for kids and adults to play. And we waited our turn and had a go of rolling a metal ball through a maze to the center of the bulls-eye. The key, of course, is patience, so Ed and I were able to accomplish the task quickly while the kids got frustrated and quit. I did learn some interesting new vocabulary words that I probably shouldn't use in public!

The games, are made of wood and they are quite sturdy. They're also fun to play. If it gets really busy, a sign up sheet is used. In general, however the availability of games moves very smoothly unless a serious chess game is being played. Personally, I think the town has done a good job providing “a little extra” for its visitors. Now, if I could just get them to engage some better groups for the Tuesday night concerts that take place just outside our window...
