Another close-by town held a “Vide Grenier” today. It is like our garage sales but in France it is an “emptying of the attic”. They claimed to have 260 tables and I would be willing to bet that there were far more. People were offering everything, including an old kitchen sink. Of course, my purchases are limited because of size and also I know very little about antiques. But others were having a ball, buying a variety of different things and dragging their purchases back to their cars.
The tables were randomly set up, so on one you might find clothing and toys for children and at the next one, medals from WWI. We took some pictures of things that interested us. There was so much to choose from! Check out the Photo Gallery.
