It turns out that our town, in season, has a Marche Nocturnal every Tuesday evening. And it is season! When I first saw the sign, I assumed that a few sellers would set up little tables and people would stroll by the beach looking at the wares being offered. The first indication that the market was going to be a bit more was when we awoke this morning to find a bandstand set up by the beach just across from us. Apparently, there is a free concert that entertains market goers too. Then they started closing streets around the market area which it turns out, is much larger than I would have thought. The market starts this evening but by early afternoon the street has been transformed!
The band which played most of the evening, left a great deal to be desired. In fact, I was ready to offer them money to stop playing when they wrapped it up!
