We went back over to Honfleur today to explore a very large park that we had never visited before. It's claim to fame is a garden within the park that pays tribute to all the famous people born in Honfleur or who chose to live and work there. The park is indeed quite large and the gardens which honor their illustrious citizens are individually set up. The shapes of each space are different and they are decorated with varying shrubs and flowers. We easily found Boudin, Baudelaire, Courbet and several others we had never heard of. But, no Monet! When we found the pond with waterlilys, I was sure that he had to be nearby. But, if he is, he is well hidden!
In the heart of Honfleur we meandered through the streets and admired some of the artwork displayed in the shops through the whole town. (Check the photo gallery for samples of the artwork.)
