Headland at Tunnel Beach

Headland at Tunnel Beach

Took myself off sightseeing today

Speights Brewery..Home of the famous South Island beer….very interesting, especially the free beer at the end!!

Railway Station…very beautiful station which is like stepping back in time to when it was built.

St Clair’s Beach…a very beautiful, yet today a very windy beach. Also renowned for it’s surf and expensive houses

Tunnel Beach…. The tunnel was dug by hand through the rock for a local family so they could get to the beach......Spent a while enjoying the sun and reading..

Overall I enjoyed Dunedin, not only for the hospitality (thanks Dave and Rachel), but it just seems a very…lovely place…by the sea, near the hills and countryside, and good bars and restaurants….erm..sounds all too familiar…!
