Sorted myself out with a car today....she's a beauty! A white Nissan Sunny. "You wanna a mini cab!"...yep similar to what the London minicab drivers have. Anyway got it dirt cheap and for the next three weeks, so let the road trip commence....although I have visions of Kalafornia playing through my head!
But before I go anywhere, I've gotta go and throw myself out of a plane at 15000ft, since my jump yesterday was cancelled.
Today the conditions were perfect...nice and sunny and little cloud. Having done a jump before I was only too familiar with what was required of me. But excited all the same as the last jump was only 12500ft.
Before I knew it I was in the plane with a couple of Danish girls, the tandem guys and the photographers. It was a long climb to reach the 15k jump point, but the view over the mountains and lakes was stunning.
I'm now on the edge of the plane door....so with little time to think. I was out! Falling towards the ground through the clouds at 125mph. It was amazing! Before I knew it we had fallen 11000ft in about 60seconds before the parachute opened and we stalled to a nice decent over the countryside. I must say when the chute opens it does pull on the harness pretty hard....a similar sensation to a "wedgie"
After a few minutes we were down on the ground...and pretty hard bump to my backside...good job there's a bit of extra packing down there!
I think I've done enough adrenaline activities for now...although I would love to do another bungee. Whether I do another skydive again I don't know.....I think if I do, it’ll be solo.
In regards to my Nissan sunny minicab...got my first fare this afternoon...one of the girls who did a jump is going the same route as me. So at least it'll be nice to have a bit of company.
