To prepare for this trip, I've gotten rid of almost everything I own into a storage unit. From what's left over, I'll choose what to pack in my 50-liter _____.
Let's be clear about what I mean when I say, "rid of almost everything;" this includes my bed. Yes that's right. Like how the Grinch stole Chistmas, I've got no bed, no blankets, not even a crumb for the mice left over...
So, to make sleeping without a bed more natural, I thought I'd camp outside in my tent... but that nature got pretty cold. So to make camping more enjoyable, I moved it inside. Now, what was sleeping inside on the floor (weird, who does that) is much more acceptable to me. I'm just camping, but in the warmth.
Now, with 6 days left in Portland, I did finally move my tent to my storage unit also. I'm down to some clothes... a sleeping bag... and still 6 pairs of shoes from which I'm still not sure which to pack! Maybe I'll just eliminate one pair a day each day until I leave, and take what's left?
What I do like about this trip is I can do whatever I want.
I can't tell if I'm starting to get run-down with germs or if sleeping on the floor isn't so good for my beauty rest, but I'm feeling a little unlike myself.
