Hong Kong Fuey - Part Two

This time in Hong Kong Danielle persuaded me that staying at the Ibis,
just outside the main area of HK was the thing to do, and considering
it only cost an extra £2.00 a night, it seemed a good suggestion.
As we were more familar with Hong Kong and staying in a reasonable
hotel, our stay was very pleasant. After the frantic 8 days that we'd had
in China, we decided to chill out in HK, even to the extent that we
decided to miss the annual Dragon Boat Race (this was the reason we'd
planned to stay in HK for 2 weeks!), in favour of shopping and a little
afternoon sleep.
The next day, our penultimate in HK, we visited the largest outdoor
buddha in the world; being the cultured creatures we are, we took some
photos, stayed twenty minutes and left. It was very pretty though, but
still just a buddha!! This was followed by a very traditional local meal,
at The Taj Mahal, our local Indian restaurant from our last visit, Dan
has become quite fond of Indian food on our travels, whenever it's a
choice between Indian and local, Indian wins!
The next day we experianced the wonderous system that HK have for
getting you checked in and to HKIA (airport) in good time. As convicted OCD suffers we both rejoiced for some time over the system in HK, I think
its fair to say it made our day...
