No place like home...Thank goodness !!! For those of you that know us, you'll already know the story, basically we decided that we've both worked enough (I've been working for 11 years, Danielle for 11 Months) and that we deserve some long overdue R&R and decided to take in some sights....enjoy

Getting DRENCHED in Iguazu

ARGENTINA | Sunday, 14 October 2007 | Views [796]

After FINALLY getting on our bus from Conception Del Uruguay (in Argentina), a few changes and a couple of aching bodies later, we finally arrived in Puerto Iguazu at 7am. Our hostel was a complete disappointment (it had looked so nice online) - with some kind of animal droppings on our bed, the room full of bugs and holes in the walls...but for gbp3 each a night, we stuck it out! Times are getting tough...

The Iguazu Waterfalls (Cataratas, in Espanol) were very impressive. We started the day on a train rammed full of Argentine and US OAPs (a good start, I thought!) on the way to the Devils Throat and then continued around the rest of the park...not that much can be said about waterfalls to be honest, they are well...waterfalls!

We caught a jet boat under them in through the rapids, getting completely drenched in the process - he didn~t just take us under a small one, but a massive, torrential thing that scared the hell out of me! ha!

We also hopped across to Brazil (Foz do Iguacu) to get an overview of these 275 falls, and ended up in Pizzahut of all places to shelter from the rain!

Check out the pics though - they better show the place than this blog! Now sitting in our hostel in Rio, with the England Vs France Rugby on behind me...guess who~s watching it and who is writing this!
