Our plane was late getting in so didn’t get to the motel until about 3 – both quite tired. The view on the flight in was excellent – so many small steep forest covered islands contrasted by hundreds of tall apartments blocks in groups. Quite an amazing sight. Apparently not the highest population density but very close. Our motel upgraded us and have a harbour view – very nice. It also shows so many parks and sporting areas for tennis, rugby, basketball etc all in use nearly all the time. Went for a walk to stretch the legs and visited the Tin Hau temple. Tin Hau is the Goddess of the Sea and the locals built a shrine to her. The shrine then became so popular with boat dwellers in the area that they raised funds to build a temple on the same site. We then went down to the waterfront closest to us – it was a mix of all sorts of boats – many of them dwellings. Wandered back through the Causeway Bay area – its shops and the massive Queen Victoria gardens before dinner and collapsing. Interesting to note that no one rides motor bikes – everyone drives a car
