Slept all night and life is good. We have our own 6th floor balcony with a view over the city – very pretty. Today was for to doing very Belgian things. So, we spent the first half of the day at the at the European Parliament. We found about the EU and saw how that governing body works and why. The displays were very well done and interesting – even for those of us with no vested interest. The second half of the day was taken by our Belgian Beer tour. 8 different beers in 6 very different bars. Our company was four Americans on a buck’s holiday from NYC, three people from NY state and a couple from Ontario. We connected with Bob (and you must say it with an accent) and Joanne from Ontario and had a very pleasant time, up to the end of the tour and beyond. One thing about Belgian beer though – the alcohol contact goes up to about 12% so that meant an early night, watching a bit of the soccer.
