Guess where?

Guess where?

Started the day late. Kerstin and Dan came to us at about 11! It was great to see her again and she fitted back into the family as if she had never been missing. Dan was an informative tour guide for the day and took us to the White House and many of the monuments in the Constitution gardens including the Lincoln & Jefferson. We walked for miles. Washington reminds me of Canberra but on a grander scale as it is also a "planned" city. Our last stop for the day was the National Archives. The highlights there were the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, the American Constitution - all the hand written originals, and one of the original copies of the Magna Carta from 1297!!! Dan invited us to his house for a BBQ, and we had a lovely evening with a group of his friends before crashing.
