Met up with our tour group in the Singapore airport, before the 2 hour flight to Siam Reap. The weather is not too hot, but quite humid. The hotel is lovely - what i imagine a colonial Indian one to be like. Checked out the pool on the top floor, and went for a walk in the neighbourhood - it is such a city of contrasts - trying to be Western, but not quite, rich and poor, but everyone is pleasant and helpful. In the afternoon, we went out to the floating village which is as it says, a village that floats, right down to its barnyard complete with massive pigs, and in one place, they raise crocs, There is a floating school out there and the children were all coming out as we arrived and sorting themselves and their boats to paddle home. For tea we went to a training restaurant and tried a variety of local dishes and they put on a traditional dance show after we ate.
