Left Paris early and headed via Bruxelles (so Ian got to go to Belgium ever so briefly) to Cologne and then Bonn. Picked up from the bahnhof by Kerstin and her mum Ute. A bit surreal actually being with Kerstin in Bonn. Had a lovely afternoon just sitting, and then heading off to one of the local castles (Drachenfelsburg - Dragon on a rocky outcrop) for an energetic walk and a great view of the Rhine. Then met Paul, Kerstin's brother. Lovely night in.
