Went off to the Eiffel Tower prepared for the big queues but managed to fluke a queue as it opened and walked to the second floor. Had a bit of a look and then paid for the lift to the top. OMG it is high!had a look round and then made our way back to the first floor where we scored a table, a beer and a champagne for an over the top price. Very nice. The went for a wander down the Champ Élysées and popped into a few shops including a Peugeot one. Then back to the Latin quarter near Saint Severin (nice little church tucked away not far from Notre Dame) where we had a lovely meal with a German couple for company and they did not laugh at my Deutsche!!
