Tour day in Herzegovina

Yesterday was a busy day. I took a long tour starting at 9:30 am, which I visited a Dervish, or Muslim Monestary. The monestary was beauiful, in a brilliant setting set against a large rock wall and a stream. To enter, shoes had to be removed and a skirt had to cover my legs. The entire monestary featured prayer rooms, an old fashioned kitchen, and rooms for washing.

I then visited one of the oldest Orthadox churches in the country, which was absolutely gorgeous, and the guide explained how the Catholic Church was centered in Rome, the Orthadox in Istanbul, and the dividing line was right in Bosnia.

Then I visited a medievel fortress called Pocitelj, which was deserted, except for a few houses and a person selling juice. The views we're great, and the sun was boiling down. There weren't many businesses, except an eldery woman selling pomegrante juice, which was very good.

Finally, I went to the Kravice waterfall in Bosnia. I didn't go into the water, but I sat on the side and took pictures.

Upon retiurning back to Mostar around 3:30, I walked over to the point for a waling tour -the tour was disappointing-only 3 of us we're on the tour, and the guide took us back to the old bridge in the center of town, without explaining much else about the town. He talked a little about the devistation of the 92-95 war.  He also did go into Islam, which was somewhat interesting. But then the guy started hitting me up for a bigger tip then I wanted to give him-the problem was is that there was only 3 of us, so I falt bad for him and gave it to him.  I then ate some food he recommended, Cevapi, or something like that with meat and onions, and went back to my room at the hostel.
