The weather here has been cloudy. The city is comprised of an old town and a new town-the new town consists of basically ugly communist-style buildings. Even the old town, which has typical European style architecture, is tiny, and pales in comparison to other old-towns I have visited, such as Brugge and Salzburg. And there are few museums in town (and these include an old clock museum and a pharmacy museum)
Absolutely perfect for a few days. I have spent lots of time yesterday in my bed, staring at the rotating fan in the room. After days, weeks and months of museum headsets, hop-on hop-off busses, overpriced "authentic" restaurants, and competing for space with tourists with selfie-sticks, this is the perfect place. There is close to NOTHING to do but read and relax. The hostel has a friendly staff and guests, and is near a bunch of stores and inexpensive restaurants. Tomorrow I will go to Budapest, and be back in the world. (I was supposed to go today, but was able to arrange another day here). Bratislava is perfect for now.
