Today I am leaving my beloved Edinburgh, where I have spent a total of 6 nights in 3 different hotels/hostels. (in addition to the two nights in the Scottish Highlands/Skye).  The city is both stunningly beautiful and outrageously fun.  The medieval architecture is everywhere, particularly in the old town, and it isn't snobby medieval, in this medival architecture are cool pubs and fish and chippys. (they are so good-but I will die if I have any more for a while-literally(cholesterol))  And the Scottish people I have met-they are beyond friendly, and the accents are charming and funny.  In between this fun is a lot of culture and history, and a proud heritage. Fact: Scotland and England we're unified well before the USA became a nation, but the Scottish still  have an independence about them that makes Texans look bashful about their state.  Scottish is everywhere-and I guess Gallic is still taught as well.

And the other visitors I have met as well have their charms-I think they are just lost like I am!) (but as the Scottish quote from JR Tolken says, not all who wander are lost!)

I am going to miss this place.

Oh yeeaah, I actually have on souvenir that it seems I can't get rid of-this damn Pub Crawl bracelet-It won't rip off.
