BAT out there

So woke today to an overcaste morning and a forcaste of more rain but I only have one day here so I have to go out.  Apparently they sell umbreallas in the visitor centre so that's where I went forst.  Didn't buy an umbrella in the end but did get a self guided audio walking tour on MP3 and that was me set for the rest of the day.  basically the perfect way to see the town as I could go to the places on the map, listen to the history etc. but if at any point I wanted to stop or deviate I could - certainly better than sitting in a tour bus for me as I much prefer to walk, and walk I did.  Savannah was lovely and the reain stayed off.  I had lunch at mellow mushroom and actually got a relatively healthy meal with vegetables!!! Savannah also has some great little shops and art galleries, wish i had more time here but by 5pm I was pretty much exhausted frm all the walking so called it a day and probably just in time cos the weather closed in once again.
