Well what can I say, I was actually a bit bored in Las Vegas. Arrived from the Greyhound and got and exhorbitant taxi, luckily sharing it with a guy from Wales, to the Sahara Hotel. On the plus side my hotel room was HUGE, I had a King size bed, fridge, TV air con, walk in wardrobe and a balcony sort of with a view down bit of the Strip. Down side was the fact that it was 111 F which in real money is 44 C. So basically unbearable to think about gong out walking either day I was their so what's a girl to do but lounge around the pool area and then watch TV in her air conditioned room :o)
Now this surprises me almost as muc as it may surprise you but I didn't place a single bet the whole time I was there - just wasn't in the mood - complete madness cos what's the point of being in Las Vegas if you don't gamble? Well the answer to that is to buy yourself a very expensive birthday present in the form of a ticket to the Cirque du Soleil show Mystere. And a Mystere it certainly was, please don't ask me what the "story" is supposed to be cos I had no idea but the acrobatics, trapeze, bungy, strong men etc. etc. etc. were all AMAZING. Glad I went and saw what all the fuss was about, only problem now is I want to see more, more more.....
Well enough of that, I wasn't very well on my second day in Vegas, maybe to much moving from freezing casino to scolding hot pool side ut I did manage to drag myself out in the evening to walk along the strip a bit and catch the free show outside treasure Island, well i stood across the street as there were about a thousand people actually outside the hotel but it was pretty cool for a free show.
Back on the greyhound now to get to San Diego.
