We have a truly horrible day ahead of us and it's all my fault. late last night I realised that I had been incredibly stupid and done something I've never done before; I managed toleave my wallet behind at the care hire desk. We called them and they have it safe for me so today we will spend driving back to Prt Hardy, then back to Courtenay and on to Victoria. Leaving us no time to actual do anything fun or pleasant!
Then I received a text from home tellign me that the buyers for the flat have pulled out. Fianlly to cap it all when we got to the car hire place the woman happily announced that they were going to fly the wallet down to Victoria for me to collect. Why coudln't the stupid bloody woman have said that on the phone last night and Becky and I could have had a pleasant day of sightseeing. AAAAAAAArgh!
Well at least the day couldn't get any worse and one thing happened that actually made us both smile. As becky was coming around a bend in the road a small bear had just started to cross. Well it heard the car and saw how fast it was going and just ran straight back into the woods. So I thikn if we ask the question "Do bears shit in the woods?" in this case I think the answer woudl be almost certainly yes - poor little bugger probably thought he was about to die! Couldn't help myself after tha, just had towind becky up saying she had nearly killed a bear. To be fair I'mnot sure who got the bigger shock really ;o)
Made it to Victoria in one piece after a very long day in the car.
