I think it's fair to say we "DID" New York, no tourist attraction was left unvisited.  We went to the Metropolitan Museum, the Guggenheim, and MoMA.  We also did a boat trip around Manhattan and saw the statue of Liberty and went up the Empire state building for the view.  Other sights were the Rockefeller centre, Carnegie hall and the flatiron building (first New York sky scraper). Then on top of that we did a huge amount of walking, All the way from Ground Zero right up to Union Square one day and then the next day we walked from 23rd street right up through most of Central Park.  We ate really well, lovely Japanese meal out with Sumati  for her birthday.  And we went to the Theatre one evening and saw a musical called Gypsy which was very entertaining and very trendy as burlesque is a big thing right now. Throughout the weather has been great, a little overcast a couple of days but we could happily have worn shorts and t-shirts on Saturday and Tuesday!!
