bock beer

Quillmes Bock: 40 ounces + me = happiness ;)

Shiner Bock (Texas) has been my favorite beer since the night I tried it.  Quillmes is an Argentinian brew.  It too is fantastic.  We went to eat, and waited too long for bad food.  But I had a great night!  The beer, my pizza was tasteless - which is better than tasting bad, the waitress and I were becoming fast friends, and I meet some local guy.  Plus, I almost rescued a cat (but turns out people here don´t like you climbing up the side of their house - who could have guessed?!)  Anyway, I think the point of the story is just that I really like bock beer overall.  I don´t really know what bock means/is, but I like it and that is enough :)

Also, I have a visa to get into Brasil.  I will have to either renew it or can my flight in order to get back to the States, but I am looking forward to that learning adverture.  It is so much fun to me to experience how to live in new places!  I am picking up on the Spanish(note on that - it is easier after you have consumed some alcohol).  And I seem to do just fine getting around even with hardly any vocabulary; of course it helps that many people here know at least a little English.  A lot of it is pointing and body language.  Good stuff.

Alright, I have to get some reading done.  Mom, Dad - I´ve been getting your messages (some of them, not 6!).  I meant to call yesterday but more or less ended up playing mother hen to a group that went into Buenos Aires to check out the law school (HUGE!!!  but I like U Idaho much much much better).  I typically accomplish so much more when I travel as just me; that´s how it goes, though.  So, I will be around and hopefully you can hear my voice soon... I am fine and having a blast - so please don´t worry!  :)

The favorite of my beers is what's called a double bock. I didn't know you were a Shiner fan...That's from my old stomping grounds! (all languages are easier when you are drinking)
