As we were debating whether to spend our last day in Vanuatu cruising around the island in a rental car or sailing to one of the offshore islands, Connie started feeling ill. Food poisoning, stomach flu, Mele's Revenge? Whatever, we stayed close to Coconut Palms and skipped the Melanesian Feast, too.
The flight back to Brisbane was comfortable and on time, entertainment provided by the four-year old triplet girls with corn-row hair in the row in front of us. Poor dad will have his hands full in a few years! We received another 90 day visa upon return to Australia and were given a green light by the cutest contraband-sniffing beagle you can imagine.
After spending the night in the very basic Formulae 1 hotel we picked up our latest campervan. It's the same as we have been driving with two exceptions. It's an automatic and it is brand, spanking new. Only 5 kilometers on the odometer, new dishes, pots and pans, too. A brief stop to stock our larder and we are off to explore Queensland.
