Caveat Emptor!

Caveat Emptor!

So said Caesar as he prepared to cross the Rubicon.  For us it’s not a river to be crossed, it is the Atlantic Ocean.  Unlike old Julius, who just wanted to return to Rome, our goal is to see the world beginning with Europe.  We have been talking about it for quite a while and, of course, were committed, at least in our minds.  But as of today there is no turning back; our house if officially “on the market,” the listing agreement is signed, the MLS data appeared on-line and the “For Sale” sign was planted in the yard.  Even better, our first prospect is coming tomorrow morning.

We are considered “motivated sellers.”  The house is priced on the low-ish side at $245,000.  We have repainted, remodeled the kitchen and baths, emptied closets, scrubbed and scoured everything possible, and cleaned the carpets.  We are including not only appliances, but patio furniture, the barbeque and assorted yard tools.  We have compiled photos of the yard in its summer glory and even gathered together literature extolling Castle Rock.

So let the games begin!
