Hello Everbody (liz what does that remind you of?)

Greetings from the land of the Loch Ness monster, yep I am in Scotland and no I am not going to eat haggis. But how did i get here you ask......well let me fill you in on my latest adventures....
Ah Milos, that island has some amazing beaches. I spent my days walking everywhere, and spending quite a bit of time at the beach. They have these great little villages where the the buildings have a shed on the ground floor for their boats, and a house on the second story, with beautiful bright color doors. I left Milos on Sunday night arrived in Athens monday morning. I spent some time with friends in Athens, and then on tuesday i headed off to the airport....only apparently i forgot to mind the gap between the platform and the train, and fell in, with my pack on, leg pinned. oh that was a great way to start my day, then the joy continued when i got a fine on the train for buying the wrong ticket.....needless to say my flight to germany was painless, and seeing my mom was fun ( i didn't know she cut her hair!). Silke (a friend of ours who lives in Germany) took us to Cologne, were we went to the dom (a cathedral) that took almost a ridiculous amount of time to build (they took a 300 year break for goodness sakes) and then after that the ever popular chocolate museum. i was in heaven. it was actually really interesting. we had dinner along  the Rhine river (may i remind you i was in athens that morning)then we went to dusseldorf and went up a tower much like the space needle, and walked the streets including one that is considered the worlds longest bar. the next day we went to a castle before catching our flight to scotland. in scotland we arrived at inverness and rented a car, which has proved to be a blessing, but also provides us with endless laughter as mom is still in the process of mastering roundabouts and driving on the opposite side of the road. we stayed at this lovely bed a breakfast (they had llamas!) where the house had been in the family for 5 generations. we went to Carrbridge, Cawdor castle, Loch Ness (and no i didn't see the monster but i did see some highland cattle), Uruquat castle, Inverness, Nairn, oh goodness, so much i can't remember it all. I have seen Red squirles (and there are signs all along the road to caution you to them) the famer and the dell (seriously) and the atlantic ocean. we are currently in Ullapool (your guess is as good as mine). Having a wonderful time of course but I am freezing after spending two months in the meditterean. We head back to greece on the 13th. well i am almost out of time on the internet. hope everyone is doing well,

cheers
