Made it to Australia, here in the national capital of Canberra, where amusingly for the first two days its rained and been almost grey enough to call home.
Now however over the weekend its reverted back to the norm, not a cloud in the sky and i require suncream and sunglasses if i step outside for more than 2 minutes.
i've invested in a hat, which i liked but im told is going to make people stare at me, photos will follow, of when Gomez attempted to try on my new hat.
The first impression i got of Australia (as we came into land in Canberra) was "wow thats a big golf course" which was probably caused by me lacking on rather a large amount of sleep.
However from the altitude where everything looks flat, the watering holes in the fields look just like huge bunkers on a golf course, it took quite a while for me to work out what the problem was (a suspicious lack of flags finally gave it away)
Once i got on the ground and being driven around, it sinks in just how huge this place is! you need a car to get absolutely anywhere. One the drive from the airport to Kylee's house there were cries from the backseat from Raúl along the lines of "Build something!" due to the just excessive use of space.
The other basic observations is that pizza is cheap as, we are talking half the price of ours, while beer is more expensive, or rather along the lines of southern prices.
Also! don't drink the majority of australian beer, its eh, well there is no polite way to describe just how foul it is.
I'll add a photo to this when i get round too it, IE when i've taken enough
