Our final day in Mumbai today - leave on a 9.15pm train to Aurangabad and what a bloody relief! Yesterday me and Annie were in such foul moods had had enough of this city and maybe even the full moon bringing us down (that's our theory anyway - so we don't sound like moany bloody travellers!) Felt terrible not to enjoy being here - must live in the moment and remember just how lucky we are to be here but cities are just not by bag baby!
Found a great way to lift our spirits whilst here though - head to the Gateway of India where we are treated like A list celebs (nothing like a bit of attention to make u feel good!). Indian tourists here on holiday are fascinated by us and ask to be snapped with us all the time, hoards of people (all one family in some cases!) gather round us and shake our hands. In some cases it's great fun but some do get a bit too friendly - one guy this morning asked to put his arm around me which was ok just made sure it didn't wander south but this must of been a bit of a come on cos he then asked to have picture of him kissing me - on yer bike!! Also got followed by Moira Stewart 2 lookalike yesterday when we asked 'what d'ya want?' and gave him our best Mitchell bruvvers impersonation he soon racked off (no-one messes with Thelma and Louise!)
Met more fab people here Erin (loony Ozzy sweetheart - gave us gift of toe ring), Helda?!?!, German laughing yoga lady - once lived in MK 'word-up' and has recommended a Buddhist meditation course in North India. Really hoping to get on one after seeing Dalai Lama - would be a lovely experience.
Off to hang out in cheap restaurant we have found opposite Regal Cinema - full of Indian people and does good, veg meals. Beats Leopolds and its overcharged grub!
Leave Sally Army and memories of place are - regimented, quiet, rats and a real weird selection of people! Can't wait for Kerala baby xxxxxx
