Tomorrow morning I am being picked up from VN Guesthouse by Phot, to stay at the
Elephant Friends sanctuary for a few days...
I might stay for longer, depending how it pans out there. I plan on mucking in and helping them out with whatever rebuilding project they are currently undertaking, and obviously enjoying the contact with the elephants!
They don't have internet, so I will be offline for a few days at least. I do have access from my cell phone though, so might be able to update a few people if I plan on staying longer.
After that I will pop back into Kanchanaburi for a day to plan my onward travel, to wherever that might be...! Lol! I'll possibly need to buy a new waredrobe too... :/

Edit from this evening...I'm getting more excited about the visit tomorrow... I went into town this afternoon to get some long trousers for sacrifice whilst working at the sanctuary and to wear on the elephants if their hairs irritate my skin as they do for some people (I don't want to ruin my 45 quid north face trousers this soon in the trip, Lol!). The trousers are pretty tough and light and only cost 8 quid, plus I got a big rim hat to protect my head and neck in the sun for under 2 pounds. I wouldn't normally wear one of these, but I doubt the elephants will think I look stupid...! ;)
I've stocked up on a few essentials too as I'll be pretty isolated out there, such as sun block, shower gel, tissue(!), paracetamol and imodium (lol!). I also have plenty of insect repellent for the flying pests!
Going to watch some FA cup tonight and then go out for some drinks with the girl that runs this internet cafe after she insisted! She doesn't really float my boat, but my usual line of "I have a girlfriend" to fend off undesirable advances, failed me this afternoon... doh!
